It was a difficult race. Stirpe kept a very fast pace and that allowed us to break the group and get to play for the win in three. We must continue to work like this until the end, because we will be fighting until the last race”.

As the race went on, I had a few problems but carried on until the last lap when, unfortunately, I slipped in the high variant because of a loss of grip on the front. I’m confident for tomorrow’s race because I’m sure that my technicians will fix my bike in the best possible way. I thank them and all our sponsors”.

After Massimo’s bad crash in the first world wild card race right here in Imola, I was doubtful about his reactions in today’s race. In addition, in this morning’s practice Roccoli had crashed and damaged his Yamaha. Our guys really did a great job, as Roccoli’s bike worked at its best for the race. It was a difficult race and we fought until the end. Maybe the second place would have been enough for us, but Massimo managed to win and so thanks to him, to the team and to all our sponsors”.
