Tenth race of the CIV, Italian Speed Supersport Championship, for the Rosso Corsa team at the Mugello International Circuit.

Yesterday in the race ,Massimo Roccoli obtained a good fifth place, but lost some points in the standings against the leader Gabellini. Alessandro Arcangeli had instead concluded his test early due to a technical problem. Just like yesterday, based on the results of qualifying, Roccoli started from the second row, while Arcangeli from the fourth. In the second start, for a race of only six laps, Massimo started from the fourth box and once again entered the fight for the top positions. Unfortunately, a crash during the fourth lap, on the track made treacherous by the rain, forced him to make a comeback which ended in eighth position.
On the other side of the box Arcangeli did not start very well and fought in the rear until the red flag. After the second start ,  starting from the seventeenth box, he  had a good start, until a slip that put an end to his race.

In the championship standings, when two races left  at the end, Massimo Roccoli was second with 147 points, less than 33 from the top. Arcangeli is 21st with 8 points. The next in the last appointment with the CIV is scheduled for the weekend of the 5 and 6 October at the Piero Taruffi circuit in Vallelunga.

Alessandro Arcangeli “Today I started a little behind and tried to recover immediately, right from the first corners. In the first race I was close to the top ten, but in the second race after the red flag at the end of the first lap I was the victim of a crash. It will go better in Vallelunga.

“Beppe Amato – Team Manager “We have been unlucky again today. The situation was difficult and unfortunately both riders suffered from it. however we have demonstrated once again our potential and I thank the whole team for the great work done here at Mugello.”
