Over the weekend just gone, the season of the 2023 Italian Speed ​​Championship opened on the Misano circuit.

After 5 years of development work on the Yamaha R6 we find ourselves facing a new challenge for the team with an Emilian heart, still characterized by the colors of Yamaha but with more horsepower: the Yamaha R1!

For the team, Misano represented a real testing ground given the absence of pre-race tests caused by the delay in receiving the bike and not least the arrival of a new rider in the team: Alessandro Andreozzi.

The days pass with a view to constant improvement even if some technical problems cause a tiring first ride for our driver.

Despite this, qualifying led to good results and Alessandro earned seventh place on the starting grid with a best of 1.36’606, confirming the same position at the end of the first race.

The objective of this year’s team was clear from the beginning: to enter the top ten of the ranking and become one of the protagonists of this category but already from the end of this first weekend we understand that we have the potential to get on the podium!

The next appointment with the CIV will be on the weekend of 13 and 14 May at the Mugello racetrack.
