MISANO ELFCIV 2021 – ROUND 4

Friday 22 December 2023

The weekend between July and August represented the halfway point of the 2021 season for our boys, they left the first part of the championship behind them to return to racing on the Misano and Mugello circuits and then conclude with the only date in Vallelunga.

SUPERSPORT 600 | STEFANO VALTULINI
Q1 1.40’232 | Q2 1.40’073 | Starting grid 13

A difficult weekend for Stefano Valtulini who gave his best despite the problems that arose with the bike.

From Thursday we immediately started working on finding new solutions to optimize performance thanks to the database collected in the previous round in Misano and the driver’s impressions and sensations.

Qualifying was complex and led Stefano to line up in thirteenth position on the starting grid. This penalized the driver in both races, where despite the time being on par with his teammates vying for the podium, there were many positions to recover.

In fact, race 1 ended with an eighth place, with a recovery of six positions and race 2 in sixth place, with a recovery of a further two positions compared to the start!

MOTO3 | DANIEL DA LIO
Q1 1’47.495 | Q2 1’47.359 | Starting grid 20

Daniel’s race weekend was characterized by a gradual search for the feeling he lost with his Moto3 following the crash at Imola.

The team worked to identify the optimal setting to allow the driver to run the qualifications without risk and seek a good position on the starting grid.

The races saw the driver line up in twentieth position; in both cases the start was excellent which in race 1 led to finishing the test seventeenth while the second race was more troubled and after just two laps it was interrupted and restarted in quick restart mode.

The driver’s second test ended in 14th position, significantly improving the results achieved over the weekend.

NEXT APPOINTMENTS

The next round will be held, with just two weeks of separation from the previous one, on the last weekend of August at the Mugello racetrack.
